Kulicke & Soffe, an equipment maker, warned today based on deferrals by certain customers. Apparently the customers are making the deferrals due to space and component shortages. Since I know little about the company, I looked it up...one item of note is that 85% of its business is outside of the US. Therefore the warning today may be connected with the NOK warning last week. When NOK warned, it said essentially the same thing as Kulicke. While Kulicke is only a second tier player, I expect the markets will not take this well tomorrow.
