I just checked a historical chart of AMD's price and today appears to be the 13th highest volume day of all time, which is fairly substantial given that most of the other days corresponded to earnings announcements or warnings, rather than the seeming chain of non-news we have had lately. Thanks for the information. I was looking at a one year chart and saw 3-4 times in the past year where volume was greater. One other thing...after posting the comment, I remembered that the volume was sizable for a summer trading day. I am hoping that the weakest investors were blown out today so that the stock price has a chance of stabilizing. ted
