They don't sell airtime by being bland.

Fear and panic has it's place. I may be a fool but I think the sell-off is good. But then I doubt the excesses will be wrung out for long. Human nature won't be repealed - the techs and Internet sectors are likely to swing from one extreme to the other - probably increasingly volatile as the number of online investors continues to grow and the market moves to 24 hour trading. If markets ever subscribed to "perfect market theory" traders would become relics housed in museums.
