-- From the my-brain-needs- new-batteries department (heck, let's just replace the whole brain):
Last week's story on C-Cube said the company's reserves for bad debt
and/or returned merchandise jumped last year to 34 percent from 4
percent of receivables. That should've been to 34 percent from 11
percent.

I agree with him replace the whole brain!

And ------------------------------

-- Reader David B., angry about this column's recent series of items
questioning Milpitas-based C-Cube Microsystems, writes: ``Herb is
knowingly and admittedly using information from people who clearly will
make money if the stock goes down to promote his own personal
reputation . . .''

Why is it nobody complains when I quote people, with a vested
interest, who say a stock will rise?
