I as in grade nine geography class when Mr. Colcock entered the room and told us that President Kennedy had been shot. (watching JFK here) A girl who sat behind me cried out yipee, I never liked him anyway. The rest of the class was in shocked silence. We never thot things like this could ever happen. I remember the speculation was rife after that about who did it. This was a missile base town, with all kinds of US airforce personnel and CIA etc.. the speculation was quite interesting. The feeling was later that there was some kind of conspiracy amongst government or organized crime or both. Others felt the Cubans had done it with Soviet assistance. When Oswald was shot, the talk was that it sealed that crime groups had something to do with the cover up and probably the assassination.
