Drew, Lexar Media incorporates a lot of cutting edge technology in its CompactFlash... ...and it would seem that most of it belongs to SNDK. lexarmedia.com The 4x & 8x notations are marketing ploys that mislead consumers into thinking they are getting a product that is several times faster than other flash competitors. These notations actually deal with write speeds compared to CD-ROM devices. The information posted earlier on this thread indicates exactly how effective (and misleading) their advertising is. Ausdauer SanDisk...accept no cheap imitations.
