yep, that's the way it goes. Everyone thinks they want an echo chamber, but in truth, echo chambers are boring. Even like minded people get tired of having their words and thoughts bounced back to them in a never ending circle of back slapping and self-congratulation. Heterogeneity is both a feature and a strength of the human race. It gives debate and conclusions robustness, very similar to having 10 people on the right side and 10 on the left side of the boat to keep the weight evenly distributed. If the 10 people on the right jump off, then the boat capsizes. These are just the laws of the nature. We forget these simple truths, but they always reassert themselves at some point.
