The US health system sucks, pal. It is corrupt, inefficient, full of gougers and price fixers, and it is only good for a few groups of people, the rich, those with union-style health care plans and the poor who get subsidized. Everyone else gets screwed. Americans also pay as much as ten times what other countries pay for pharmaceuticals. On average it's about 300% more. Just try going on Blue Cross and try to see a specialist. You will probably wait for 3 weeks then get steered to some poor part of town where the cheapest facility is, wait for an hour in the crummy lobby, and then you may see a doctor for 3 minutes if you're lucky. Plus you will have to put down a co-pay. After you're already paying 250 bucks a month for coverage. In Canada none of this exists. You walk in get taken care of and there is no charge whatsoever. Same as in Germany and France.
