Brian,

At the very end of July, the VP of ASND stated he was comfortable with the .36 estimate for this Qtr. That was quite some time ago and a lot has happened since. In the 3rd Q conference call in 2nd week of July, Mory stated high single digit to low double digit sequential increases. He also said that book to bill was greater than 1. That was also some time ago. Both individuals were making their statements based on hope and past experience. Had they made those stmts today, with 90 % of the QTR over, it would mean something. I was foolish enough to believe them at the time not realizing the stmts were meaningless. Because of those stmts some have stated the company has lost credibility. Since those statements were made 7 and 9 weeks ago and as the Q3 has progressed no positive earnings statements have been issued from the company and the required 8K issued 5-6 weeks ago, shortly after the unbrindled optimistic stmts, was quite negative in most people's opinions. However, some believed MGMT that a training session held back sales and held out for a back loaded Qtr. The recent give-away program by ASND (2 for 1) indicated a desperation to many and the stock has continued to descend. Massive new competition from established companies like CSCO and from smaller companies like @HOME and NN and even BAY is another big negative.

We won't know more until the company speaks and that may not be until earnings are released. IMO, the stock cannot go up but can go down down down until the company speaks. Too many uncertainties, too many rumors need addressing.
