Here is a good one: I was getting very slow download speeds from my US Robotics 56K v90 modem, I called my ISP and the tec told me to click on my computer,control panel, modems,properties,connection,advanced, and type in the following where it says extra settings: s32=98. I could not believe how much faster my download time is now. He told me that some ISP's react different to the 56k v90's. I am only a novice but like I said that worked for me. I suspect the 32 regulates the download speed, I tried to raise the number to 40,38 and 35 but it slows everything down.

I hope this helps others that might have the same problem.
