They are not completely clueless - they know they can manipulate markets, and they use that short term, doing HUGE damage in the long run. I just hope the bubble cleansing process starts and ends soon. Then someone will have to be a scape goat. A lot of Earth-shaking truth will come out about bank derivatives dealings (like Enron), and using the Federal Reserve to support their positions. I think the system has to be cured of corruption, and a deep crisis may be the way to go?
