On the contrary ...

Both Investors and Daytraders provide working capital for companies operating in a free market system. Without that captial, (whatever it's source) you would have an instant collapse of the system. Investors provide that capital on more of a continuous basis, whereas Daytraders provide it on a discrete basis, nevertheless at any fixed point in time both Investors and Daytraders have significant dollars tied up in the corporate community for their use. Each provides a valuable service in its own right. Investors help determine the true value of a stock with a long-term perspective, Daytraders do the same thing with a short-term perspective. Both have value.

But each type of trading bears it's own methods. While investors are more concerned with the long-term value being greater than the immediate starting point, Daytraders are concerned with either daily oscillations from the mean or daily jumps on new information.

To an objective outsider who were to observe the buys of a good investor, or a good daytrader, they would be observing a stocks "true value" in action.

PS: We're up to 62+1/4 on my page-alert!!! Steak tonight, not tomorrow!

Good luck to all INVESTORS and DAYTRADERS alike! Today is our day.
