dems like Biden are saying something to sound important. They have no alternate plan, they just like to hear themselves talk. Kerry's op-ed was a masterpiece of arrogant blather.

Whether or not more troops would have been useful going in, that is water under the bridge. The question is, would more American troops help now, and the answer seems to be no; we are already drawing down our forces in Iraq. What is desperately needed is more Iraqi police, the kind you can trust, and those are being produced as fast as they can.
