David, you're right.. my post was confusing on re-read, that's what happens sometimes if I don't read before hitting the submit button.

Behind my thought is that with the heavier call buying, which as I meant to phrase as you posted, the specialist's "buying" to create the calls should have helped the stock. It didn't, that's what I intended by ".. part of the selling pressure undoubtedly came from the call buying.." (and to complete the thought) which didn't help support the price.
