JT: You gave some biotech picks a while back. Let me give you my fav. AVII - It is an genetic antisense company with an added bonus of a cancer vaccine in Phase 3. The antisense technology is third generation and seems to have a decided lead over other antisense technologies (GNTA, ISIS, HYBN)in that it uses a synthetic backbone that is not broken down as quickly. The stock has been hammered over the last two months since they came out with a financing deal with USB Warburg. The financing was for a 10% discount to the current share price so the shorts jumped on it and now it's quite overdone. The short interest is at an all time high over 2 million shares (18% of the float). Notice the large volume reversal last Friday. Over the last 3 days, I have been a very big buyer of the stock. However, I'll only trade 25% of my position as I think this is a huge winner in 1-2 years. MDT invested 10 million upfront with promises for 90 million more as certain benchmarks are realized. I've studied carefully, visited the company, spoken to all of their officers and sat down and talked to their CEO for over two hours. Still, I could be very wrong, so you know the drill. Anyway, FWIW - check it out. Shorts may have another go at it, but I think it is very close to a short covering rocket ride. Baton
