Ravi:
You are right.
<< In Pa(p)istan, it is a common rule that the successor has to show that he/she is more Anti-Indian than the previous rule. I strongly think that is the only manifesto they have, since the country basically was founded on Anti Indian feelings..>>
The Pakistani elite (especially, the West Punjabi) is really as intelligent as Indians. Pakistanis thus have every reason to think of becoming equal to Indians. The main difference, though, is that in the tradition of the Moguls, who used to kill fathers to take their thrones, the Pak dictators got into coups and forgot democracy completely. Pak rulers could continue in power by only proclaiming Islamic laws, maintaining hatred towards Hindus, and supporting terrorism within India. Most Paks forgot that they were Hindus converted to Islam. They lost their inherent non-violent Hindu heritage and became more apt aping Arabs.
The Pak elite have poisoned most Paks through religious fundamentalism and hatred against Hindus. This arrested their progress in science and technology. Most middle-class Hindus in India, on the contrary, are really not religious, while they maintain the traditional virtues of Hindu heritage (Hindutva).
True, organizations like RSS have fanatic elements, but they hardly have an influence on the atheist (but inherently spiritualistic) Indian middle-class. Westerners do not realize that most of these Indians do not visit temples as often as Christians go to Churches. Yet, Indians generally maintain their Hindutva. Western media/society is totally confused between the spiritual and religious aspects of a Hindu.
To retain power forever, the Congress Party in India found it expedient to brand BJP as Hindu-nationalists and communalists and the important distinction between "Hindutva/Bharatiya" and Hindu religion has been lost in the process. BJP is working very hard to make this clear.
