Mary, Lets assume for the moment that you support the judicial and legal systems in America. Since rampant rape occurs in such a system - then let me ask you why you support and approve of such rapes? Inquiring minds want to know. Are such rapes or other abuse approved of by your state? Are they sanctioned by your local government? We are not making a case for torturing people. You are making a case that a few isolated incidents that are 'tantamount' to torture rise directly to the President as a policy statement. My answer is - bullshit. To introduce them into the domestic legal system here is simply outrageous. Roosevelt had it right - quick trials followed by rendition, life prison terms or a noose. John
