I have read them.
You should try fo5r an out-of-print novel: Pharaoh, by Eloise Jarvis McGraw.
It was this book, which I read when 12, which turned me on to ancient Egypt.

Then there are the marvelous books by Barbara Mertz. She also writes fiction unter the nom de plume of Elizabeth Peters. Her Amelia Peabody series are all about ancient Egypt.
