When I was an older teen, the Doc said I had that...but don't think I do any more. Now I just can't see close up stuff without cheeters....
You may just have to walk with a cane if you fall again....THERE, that ought to scare you into watching where you're going~! Seriously though, watch that gravel...that's what did me in...
it was there...I stepped on some of it, rolled the ankle, and "ooopppsie" -- she says while flying into the air, and SPLAT....down she went....
waaaaaahnnnnah....
We finally get me in the car, sniffling, and gravel imbedded, and blood because of all the cuts, and he says: "Well, what do you want to do?"
Well, says moi....we're not going dancing tonight....LOLOL (now I can laugh)....
Spent hours at the hospital with x-rays, shots more x-rays to make sure nothing else was broken, meds, then sling...had to wait for a few days before the fingers to past the elbow cast....
There was one funny story out of the mess...The first cast I got was purple...(like the color and it was still Aug)....then we went on a cruise that year, so the next one I wanted to be black. The Doc (grew up with my kids) says, seriously: "Are you OK? Not depressed or anything like that?" I said...No, We're going on a cruise to Alaska in a few days, and I wanted it to match my evening clothes....<ggg>
I was a real trip...bum right knee, cane in the other working hand, and a broken right arm in a big cast... Told poor hubby that I should have a sign that said "Really, HE didn't shove me down the stairs..." |
