I've been thinking about MC's read. One possibility is that $SOX - starting in September of last year - may have traced out an ABC-X-ABC, with the last trio from this April being nearly equal to the first one. Together, they retraced approx. 62% of the decline since Jan 2004 (which, of course, gave back about 62% of the rally from 2002). All kinds of curious geometry there.....
