Rainer,
Thanks for response. Wish I could answer your question re big building, but I don't have a clue. ZMAX is definitely still a "small" company.
re: << VISION 2000 has been declared as a development of zmax>> . . . probably no more than semantics. Guess they figure if they paid to have it developed, then they developed it.
"Mark" is Mark Elenowitz @ Investor Communications, ZMAX' investor relations firm. I like Mark, he doesn't say any more than he's allowed to say, but the smile has been in his voice with the statement "Good things are happening" since ZMAX was <7 1/2 last November.
From a post on Motley Fool board this weekend: <<I just heard about Forbes Special Situation Report on y2k problem that gives a bit of lay-out on the landscape. It lists Zitel and Vias as the leaders at this point. But, the report really likes ZMAX. Most interestingly however, it reports that ZMAX expects to address about 77 firms in the next 3 years. That would max them out. Less than 1% of the total out there.>>
Good news: "the report really likes ZMAX". Downside: ZMAX IS a small company, but sounds like they've got a powerful toolset. And the 77 firms - how large might they be? 77 @ $xxx could be big $.
re: ZMAX listing on NASDAQ - Pres. Michael Higgins told Washington Post 1-2 weeks ago that June 1 was approximate date. Per Mark, auditors (Arthur Anderson, I think - but I may be mistaken) are completing their review. Should be done "hopefully" by end of March. Then comes the filing process. Sounds like late May at best. It's coming, anyway, although Mark will be quick to tell you that Investor Communications & ZMAX have a lot more important things (like getting contracts & making $) than putting 24 hrs./day into NASDAQ listing. That makes sense to me.
IMHO,ZITL is the y2k industry leader. Appears to me that ZMAX is a solid player. Depending on how one values ZITL (core business, % ownership of MD) & how one values ZMAX (7.8M shares soon-to-be, 10+M in a couple of years) ZMAX carries only 10%+/- the market cap of ZITL. So even though ZMAX is small, potential for stock appreciation is substantial. Being compared with ZITL by Forbes ain't no small thing.
With significant advance last week on no "new" news, well . . . we'll soon see.
As always, it remains interesting.
Thanks again, Rainer.
