Jerry, Fred, Larry, and Bipin.....I have a stake in both MU and MUEI...and have been following the price per share ratio over the past year of both stocks: MUEI/MU...6 to 12 months ago the ratio was about 1/3.3 in value or price per share. As you all know our constant fears re: MU for now....you can look at the current ratio of MUEI/MU and see that it is now 1/1.9. I am merely an observer here and a new investor, but the trend says that MUEI is becoming a much more important part of MU on the whole and perhaps it is going to continue to make up a larger share of MU's earnings for the years to come. I remember one or more postings (sorry I cannot credit the rightful/insightful person) that MU may have to decide what it wants to become in the future; a DRAM company or perhaps a PC maker...or a lot of both. It would appear that the stock(s) are suggesting that it is becoming more of a PC company and less of a semi manufacturer. I am considering converting some shares of MU to MUEI...nearly 2x the number for the same price. With the recent neg sentiment, and constant articles about the short-term future of MU stock, one might curtail one's losses by jumping on the rising star (MUEI); albeit small, and leaving the white dwarf...MU...Though not without penalty (loss), the short-term gain in MUEI, if realized, will offset the longer-term tailspin that Larry, Bipin, and all the others, including ALOHA..with his great sense of humuor Bryan have been commenting on for months now.....Are there any thoughts to this strategy among the "more qualified" individuals out there. Keep in mind, I am more of a GUMP here than a financial wizard, so I welcome both positive and constructive comments from the audience at hand. Understandably so, MU may not drop dead, but the overall trend is down....MUEI trend is up....if MU goes to 20 and MUEI goes to 20, then at today's prices you have just converted 100 shares of a future 20 dollar stock into nearly 200 shares of a future 20 dollar stock, preventing an additional 1K loss and seeing a near 1K gain, adding up to nearly 2K with the difference. Perhaps this is a good short-term strategy until MU tells us where it is going for sure...I have no answers to that question, but my feelings are quite bearish at this time.

Food for thought?
