I'm not paniced about drilling offshore. I just think its silly not to when it would make more jobs here and improve our balance of payments. Apart from whatever impact on prices might occur - which no one has any way to estimate.

No, if the leasing ban were lifted immediately, there's no way the Interior Department would be able to schedule auctions on new territories prior to January of 2009.
