My understanding of the court order is that if Microsoft wants to continue its use of Java, its product must have "Java Native Interface" (JNI) "as a way of assuring developers that their applications will run properly on all versions of Java for Windows."

Sun claims MSFT could do this in a couple of weeks if they assigned enough people to the job.
