They like Rummy at NASCAR Rumsfeld signs autographs, poses, applauds NASCAR The Associated Press Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld signed autographs, posed for pictures and was generally given a warm welcome as he made his way through the NASCAR garage area before the Pepsi 400. Rumsfeld also got a standing ovation during the prerace drivers meeting. "Everywhere I go around the world the troops talk about NASCAR and how much it reminds them of home," said Rumsfeld, the honorary grand marshal for the race.
