It's pretty common for photos in the magazine section of the NYTimes to be staged -- same goes for "soft news" sections of other magazines -- they aren't news, they're opinion. Completely different standard than for the A section.

I guess if you have an IQ in the double digits you don't know that, so maybe for the mentally impaired they should have special disclaimers "these photos are staged, not real"? Like the disclaimers they put on commercials, "professional driver, closed course, don't try this at home"?

Talk about dumbing things down . . . .
