Gore was leading in the popular vote up to the point where they stopped counting. He probably would have lost the national count if all raw votes were counted. It's based on statistics and the reasoning is sound.

Been listening to Rush again? Gore's popular majority increased from 300,000 on election day to 500,000 when they stopped counting. Obviously Gore won the popular vote.

Or do you think the 200,000 overseas servicemen will make up the 500,000 vote deficit?
