If members of the legislature can't understand Section 230, a law that's nearly a quarter of a century old, how much faith can anyone have in the TV talking heads, the press and social media commentators to understand it or comment intelligently?

Sadly, Devin Nunes is no exception to the Congressional norm. An overwhelming majority of federal legislators - in both parties - don't have a clue about Section 230, or its importance in providing virtually limitless venues for the general public to engage in the exercise of their 1st Amendment rights. Most legislators (and a majority of the public) mistakenly believe that individual rights to expression burden others with providing a platform for it to occur. It doesn't and never will, because private platforms share the same 1st Amendment rights to host, or not host, others' speech.
