JP, please don't get the wrong impression. There is more to do at the wineries than drink wine. There are tours of the vineyards and wineries demonstrating how the various wines are made. Many of the wineries have restaurants and groceries which sell specialty foodstuffs made on the premises. Several of the wineries were built a few centuries ago and are family owned and operated and comprise an important part of the region's history, economics, and politics. The various styles of old architecture alone are something to see. Many of the wineries have wedding and banquet facilities. Most days at some of the larger wineries several families are there picnicking.

There's lots more to do at the vineyards and wineries, JP, than drink wine, and there's lots more to Wine Country than the vineyards and wineries. There are the hot air balloons, the hot springs and geysers (one of which is said to predict earthquakes), and lots of other historic and touristy things to take in. You should come back to visit sometime and take the grand tour.

I didn't understand your statement about Napa State Hospital. You didn't understand mine re St. Helena. But now that you mention it, I do think a patron saint for investors could be a nice thing. <vbg>
