James, whats poor? I drove a standard Van from the drug wholesale company I purchased for $1,000. It was my favorite vehicle,I painted and repaired it myself. I drove it around Boston myself, and paid the minimal insurance. I wore old jeans and ripped t-shirts,and had to pay the costs of books and tuition. I would not say I had any assets left after college. I was happiest then in my lifetime, totally ecstatic. You see I love college and education, I was revered by my peers and college professors. I am going back to college right now for a masters in engineering, totally different field. I am taking courses at Cape Canaveral with the rocket scientists trying to regain what I once had in college. You may argue with me,but my way is one of limited resources and time to think and study. Life is a battle the whole way,and I intend on studying and working until the day I die. My uncle was a revered lawyer who graduated from Harvard Law and played golf with F.Lee Bailey and other lawyers of notoriety. His best friend was Phil Knight of Nike, who dedicated a building to my uncle at Harvard Law. My uncle worked until th day he died last year, and he loved every minute of it. He was a great and dedicated lawyer, who worked on average 80 hours a week. His reputation as an honest man, with integrity was what made him such an honored lawyer. James, it seems to me we can never see eye to eye,I hope that we can someday die with honor and having accomplished what we set out to do. Life is short, and there are many things I want to do before I go,and none of those things include retirement(in the classic sense). Hiram |
