Paul,

First there has been some discussion of this issue on the moderated thread. You might want to read what has been said there. Posters, there, have expressed some knowledge of Hollatz's capabilities and basically, the comments are mixed.

Secondly, I think its the consequence of bringing in a new person..H. Ruiz...who I suspect does not have a lot to do. Only recently was his muzzle taken off. Besides he is in Austin where Hollatz was located and had direct contact with him on a daily basis.

Finally I understand that Hollatz's division is responsible for securing chipset and MB production. Since the dearth of chipsets has been blamed for the less than perfect launch of the Duron, it stands to reason that this may be the stated reason that Hollatz was let go....(its my personal opinion that Hollatz did not leave voluntarily despite what the news release says).
