I am afraid I do not see any inconsistency. I respect Kay's view. He may very well be correct. But even he reported claims by some of those interrogated that the WMDs had been moved, and said that they could verify the shipping information, if not the content of the shipments. Additionally, Kay is one guy, this is not an intelligence estimate resulting from a vetted process. So I am inclined to think that there are stockpiles in the desert. That may make me overly optimistic, but it does not make me a liar. In the post you quote, I merely say that there is no option in certain cases except to rely on the professionals, and that we do not know enough to usefully critique the reports. That remains true........
