ALB--I'm looking for earnings growth of 40 to 50 percent annually over the next two years, based on (1) strong growth in chip sales, (2) spectacular increase in royalties from expanding markets in India and China in particular, and (3) restatement of one-time charges for Pegaso, which was bought out by Telefonica Moviles. Some people may argue this is too optimistic, but I think it is on target, especially when one realizes that wireless Internet access, mainly by handsets and PDA's will be an increasingly popular alternative to ordinary desktop or laptop computers. Thus, the "second" computer for many people will not be an elaborate laptop but will be a phone with data access features or a PDS with wireless modem.
