He may know a lot about CPU's and have upfront inside info on product releases, but does not seem to know about business markets.

The 6 page overview reads like a "I'm going to close my eyes and wish this future" rather than a "I'm going to open my eyes and really see where the market is heading".

Check this quote out which is absurd:
"Hence, x86
CPUs equipped with 64-bit extensions
and limited 64-bit OS support will
speed the development of a 64-bit ecosystem
while providing an affordable
stepping stone toward the full 64-bit enterprise
computing capabilities provided
by Intel’s Itanium processors and HP’s
Integrity systems today."

This very statment if true (to me) implies that the more successful x86-64 (nee AMD64!) is, the less chance for any other 64 bit architecture to succeed, and NOT be a "stepping stone" to the Itanium.
