The advice of these gurus, trying to reassure investors, reminds me of an old story.

Once upon a time a world-famous violinist was giving a concert. The concert hall was packed with thousands. In the middle of the performance smoke began to leak through cracks in the stage. A whisper of "fire!" ran through the concert hall, and many people stood up and began making their way towards the exits. The violinist stopped. He addressed the crowd: "Dear People," he shouted, "Do not be afraid! Everything is under control. Please go back to your seats and I will continue my performance!" The audience obeyed, and the violinist played more passionately and sweetly than he ever had in his life, until he and the entire audience were incinerated.
