I sorry but I just can't feel sorry for OPECs members who defy the free market and keep our heads on the chopping block. I can appreciate that some of the countries aren't "rich" but I think subsidizing them with high oil prices is hardly a valid concern. If one is a true philanthropist maybe they should just send another dollar to some of the poorer countries for each gallon of gasoline Jim, I have no interest in subsidizing the OPEC nations either. And I think it was you that implied that they were rich in the first place. My only reason for bringing up the fact that most of the members are poor is to make the point that they may want the highest price possible (as you contended) but when push comes to shove I think they will be happy with whatever $$$ they can get at most any price. ted
