The patient census in hospitals around Knoxville TN is lower than normal.

I have my theories.

The copays and deductibles are getting so high with commercial insurance, people seem to be looking at
going to the hospital or having elective surgery as a "luxury" now

Gas is expensive, and the economy sucks, and for some people it's starting to limit their ability
to drive to the hospital, or take time off work to get medical care.
