"if we know the jihadists are finding sanctuary in iran or syria
bomb them"

Who and where? We cant seem to find them on the ground in iraq, how can we know who we are bombing from the air in other countries? This is why its called assymetric warfare. Only a threat to destroy their holy places might have impact. The England attack is minor compared to 9/11 and i think it will show more about al quaeda weakness rather than strength. We are far from having to bomb them back to the stone age. I think the most important news coming from the attack is whether they used suicide bombers. According to the pundits that requires more infrastructure. Also beware of a second round of attacks before this is all over. Maybe not London but i wouldnt be surprised to hear more bad news over the next several days.
