The Spansion press release is not fluff. Take a look at the Spansion flash memory tech docs page - amd.com
This doc was released 6/14/04: S29WSxxxN MirrorBit™ Flash Family S29WS256N, S29WS128N, S29WS064N, 256/128/64 Megabit (16/8//4 M x 16-Bit) CMOS 1.8 Volt-only, Simultaneous Read/Write, Burst Mode Flash Memory S29WSxxxN_00 C 06/14/04
I looked at the spec sheet, it used 110nm technology as well.
It is the first 1.8 volt mirrorbit memory, all the other spec sheets are for 3v memory. The highest density memory is a 3v mirrorbit at 512Mb.
Quite a few docs released in May, only the last 3 are mirrorbit:

Several of the above have "110 nm" in the title, but others may use 110nm as well. BTW, based on this slick marketing brochure, I smell a public offering of at least part of SPANSION within 6 months: amd.com
