Most market watchers are contending that a 50bp ease would be a disappointment... Briefing.com would agree,
but bear in mind that the market has felt this way for a while, and to a large extent, the disappointment of a 50bp cut has probably already been factored into stock prices... Consequently, with so many people calling for a negative market reaction, the opportunity exists for a "contrarian rally" on the heels of a 50bp cut.
