HI Patriot; I understand that if I want fast exicution I have to bid the ask , or ask the bid..the MM have to make something, BUT, If there is no monkey business, the stock should not actually trade below the bid, or above the ask..both SPCO and MOOV the traded below the bid. The bid should have droped first. This may not be because of waterhouse, it could be just the way the MM are manipulating the price. Seems though it would catch the attention of waterhouse. I was not in a hurry to buy, but still feel that they should not have sold below the bid. If I'm bidding 1-1/16 and see the bid drop to 1, and haven't been exicuted then I could drop my bid..but when I see the bid at 1-1/16 and the stock actually trades at 1..heck I feel its best to cancle my order. Who wants a stock that sells for less than the bid price. yuk. ------------------------------- Well being you were kind enoungh to respond here is some updates on some stuff I've been tracking;
Update of some no load fund sectors; and SmithBarny barny brany, ALL from 6-3-97 to 9-20-97 Small growth up 19% Mid growth up 18.4 % Small value up 17 % Tech up 16 % Mid value up 14.5 % Large cap growth up 13 % Large cap value up 12 % Foreign up only 1.2% ---------- Japan DOWN 4% Japan ADRS DOWN 8 % --------------------- Early July SmithBarny put out their hot list for the world to see. from July 3rd till now Sept 20..it has gone up a total of 0.5 % Yep the 16 hot stocks they recommended went up a whole half of a percent in only a little over a mouth and a half. What a way to go SmithBarny, barny barny barny..you lead the bunch bringing up the rear, except for the Japan funds. --------------------- I've been back out to sea for a spell, and my time off is about used up so I'm about to head back out. --------------------- Sat eve the bull sentiment went way up , so I figured the market may go down, however the SI bull sentiment is back down now, so we should have an uptrend at least at the open this morning. Jim The SI BULL/BEAR ratio is a fairly good indicator, ( reverse it ) if BULL/BEAR gets to 4 or above the market will fall, if it gets down to 1.5 the market goes up, that ratio changes from time to time so it's relitive..and has to be monitored regular, with me going back to sea I don't have the chance to monitor it. If it was as high this morning as it was SAT I would have killed all my buy orders. ) I do all orders GTC..it's easy enough to kill them..so why do a good for the day ? I just might get some moov on the open this morning..as it closed at 2-3/8 and my 2-7/16 is still sitting there. Jim |
