Bush says, <<anybody convicted of a crime in the "leak scandal" is a goner.>>

Easy words, as it's LONG been proved that the "leak scandal" involved NO CRIME whatsoever (except Plame mishandling taxpayer money for the benefit of a relative-and no prosecutor (or politician) CARES about THAT crime.

But Bush brings himself in for criticism anyway, and not from the motor-mouths of the Democrat party.

And this criticism is serious:

He can foam at the mouth, stamp his feet, and even organize his administration to PREVENT press leaks. He can even fire someone who breaks that rule. Those, in fact, are most likely good ideas.

BUT you DO NOT allow a special prosecutor to be called up over a POLITICAL matter like a press leak.

It's a misuse of the system by Bush (albeit it's STILL a bad system and has been since the Nixon administration.)

It feeds his enemies.

And that's serious.

Because they are AMERICA's enemies...
