I believe in surgery without washing hands or wearing gloves. I consider that very conservative.

The Amish don't have refrigeration , do they? How long would it take to hand milk enough for sales and how long to transport it? Seems to me a dangerous proposition with both neutral affects and serious breakouts that outweigh those neutral periods. Milk from cows without hormones, antibiotics and pasteurized is available.
If people want to "get back in touch with the land" they should move from the cities. That way they can drink straight from the cow, goat or whatever.

ugh....I have given up my conservative credentials....ban fire...eat raw meat!!!

The FDA has both positive and questionable roles. I believe in this case they are correct to restrict open sales to another state. However, knowing families consuming the milk could be handled in a manner in which they understand the dangers. Penalties are another issue.

It seems Mr. Allgyer is a bit more sophisticated that the "Amish" title implies. I would like to know more about his dairy operation before making further judgement.
