JK told the truth. That writer is wrong. The river itself is the border between Vietnam and Cambodia. The LA Times proved JK was on that river at least very close to Cambodia so that he could have been there at any time, with or without knowing it.

for whatever reason the LA Times did a detailed investigation of this, though frankly who cares if JK was 20 miles from Cambodia or 20 miles inside Cambodia? The fact is he was there on the border somewhere and is therefore telling the truth.

Look at an atlas, you can even see the river which makes up the border. It's called the Song Van. That is the river JK was on. It IS the border and it is very wild country.JK
