James I've no doubt there are many hard working American's who live in large cities. I imagine the author of the article also believes this to be true. What I felt he was pointing out was, in general, rural areas have remained grounded and focused on what is reality. Where the more affluent city "folks" are living in a dream world. My definition of dream world includes, but is not limited to, the following points: 1) No foreign power will ever again try to invade America. 2) Giving people money will lead to the recipients 100% dedication to bettering themselves. 3) The teachers union accepts responsibility for the education quality which it's members provide. As it is getting late... My reality world 1) China has a history of world domination. It will make every attempt to regain such stature. Arm yourselves! 2) People need to be pushed, not coddled, to succeed. Get a damn job! 3) Parents need the right to choose where their child goes to school. This will force schools to produce the best product. I believe the teachers unions failures have lead to the entire ADD debacle. They are passing the buck! ht Mag
