High-Tech Firms Agree to Stop Using Products From Old-Growth Forests By a Wall Street Journal Staff Reporter
SAN FRANCISCO -- Eight high-tech companies, including PC heavyweights Microsoft Corp. and Intel Corp., have agreed to stop using products from the world's so-called old-growth forests, from centuries-old Redwoods along the California coast to Indonesian mahogany.
