A wonderful thing happened today, because of something that happened a few weeks ago. I walked into an upscale "thrift" store, the morning they had just put new things on the shelves....There was a "Lamie the Lamb" from FAO Schartz with his original bowtie, in brand new shape, just waiting for me to take him to my house to visit all the other critters who sit in an upstairs chair, talking with each other. I got Lamie for not a ton of money. So today, I donated Lamie to benefit the two main projects for Active Military, and for Veterans projects we do for them....and he brought in a good deal of dollars to split between the two Committees. Then to top it off, out young Member who won Lamie, has no children of her own, so she gave Lamie to the young woman who was our Speaker today and who is also a Military Officer with a 5 month old son. It was a win-win all around! <GGG>
