i didn't say it was bad for intel. i was correcting someone-adding info re rationale for rebates. i was shocked to learn the enormous % of people didn't bother to fill them out, filled them out late, incompletely, improperly, lost something they needed to get the rebate, etc. not just for $1 rebates, but for $70 rebates. we intend to lose weight and send in rebates, but instead go online, watch tv or whatever is important and don't send in for the rebate properly. the pros count on it. same with warranties. we have known for a long time that no one gets a toaster fixed.
