Maybe what you're talking about is the ability of the United States to take foreign speakers and to turn them into American citizens. This is done by simply accepting them as equals, more or less.

And what is the basis for Americans accepting immigrants from around the world and treating them as equals?

What motivates people who call themselves US citizens?? Blood? Soil? Religion? Political ideals?

And why is it that other parts of the world are unwilling to treat each other on a similiar basis?

And how will permitting nationalism to rise again throughout the world create societies where citizens from disparate groups treat each other as equals, or at least subvert their selfish interests to the common good?
