Libertarians' prime objective is to always frame complicated issues in simplistic terms with equally simplistic solutions.
That doesn't work when religious fanatics have already declared their plan to destroy you. Learn a historical lesson--the Europeans reaction to Hitler's aggression was the same as Ron Paul's to jihadists, that is "just ignore the threat and it'll go away". It didn't happen then and won't happen now.
